How to Play Angle Archer
- Choose a difficulty, a calibration length, and an optional practice category, then start the session.
- Read the mission card: it tells you whether to build an angle, measure one, classify one, or complete a pair.
- Rotate the movable ray by dragging the round handle, or use the -10, -5, -1, +1, +5 and +10 step buttons.
- Watch the degree display above the console; it shows the live angle and its classification.
- Press Lock Angle when the beam matches the request, or choose an answer button on classification rounds.
- On measuring rounds read the two rays, then type or choose the number of degrees between them.
- Use instrument tools such as the Protractor Overlay or Benchmark Glow when a calibration is difficult; each tool has limited uses.
- Keep locks accurate to raise the calibration-quality streak and unlock the next observatory region.

About this game
Angle Archer puts you at the controls of the Angle Navigator, a large precision light instrument inside the Radiant Geometry Observatory. You rotate a movable ray around a fixed baseline, read the live degree display, and lock the beam when it matches the calibration request. Challenges cover constructing an exact angle, measuring the angle between two rays, classifying acute, right, obtuse, straight and reflex angles, completing complementary and supplementary pairs, solving missing-angle equations, judging clockwise and counterclockwise rotation, and calibrating multi-ray configurations. Seven observatory regions change the sky, the instrument trim and the challenge mix as you progress. Seven instrument tools, a calibration-quality streak meter, animated guide engineers, and full step-button and keyboard control keep the observatory playable with a mouse, a touchscreen, or a keyboard alone.

Scoring tips
- Anchor on a benchmark first: 45 is half of 90, and 135 is 90 plus 45.
- Use the plus and minus 10 buttons to get close, then finish with plus and minus 1.
- Read the classification label in the degree display; it confirms the range before you lock.
- The precision bonus grows as your angular error shrinks, so a lock at exactly the target is worth the most.
- Locking without pressing Reset keeps the first-lock bonus.
- Answering with no hint keeps the no-hint bonus, so save hints for reflex and multi-ray rounds.
- For supplementary rounds, subtract from 180; for complementary rounds, subtract from 90.
- For reflex rounds remember that the reflex angle is 360 minus the smaller angle.
- Accuracy is worth more than speed: a wrong lock ends the streak and the speed bonus is smaller than the precision bonus.
Difficulty guide
- Easy uses angles from 0 to 180 degrees and favours the benchmark values 15, 30, 45, 60, 75, 90, 105, 120, 135, 150 and 180. Snap assistance is on, the tolerance is plus or minus 5 degrees, degree labels are always visible, and reflex angles never appear.
- Medium uses any whole angle from 0 to 180 degrees with a tolerance of plus or minus 3 degrees. It adds measurement rounds, complementary and supplementary pairs, angle comparison, benchmark estimation, moving observation targets, and rounds where the exact degree label is hidden.
- Hard uses the full 0 to 359 degree range with a tolerance of plus or minus 2 degrees. It adds reflex angles, clockwise and counterclockwise rotation questions, missing-angle equations around a full turn, and multi-ray calibrations with up to three rays around one vertex.
Parent and teacher notes
Angle Archer turns protractor practice into an instrument the student actually operates: the ray rotates around a real vertex, the degree display updates continuously, and every answer is checked against the same angle mathematics that draws the arc on screen. Incorrect locks always show the target ray, the student ray, and the exact angular difference in degrees, so a miss becomes a measurement lesson rather than a dead end. Difficulty, session length, and practice category are adjustable, and a session can be as short as ten challenges. The built-in tutorial walks through a real 45 degree calibration with no scoring attached. Precise dragging is never required: every angle can be set with the large step buttons, the keyboard arrow keys, or the Auto-Focus control mode, and there is no score penalty for using them. No account is required, leaderboard submission is optional, and the game is intended as practice and entertainment rather than a formal assessment.
