Divide and Conquer
Run The Equalizer Factory and divide gears into equal groups, quotients, and remainders.
Ready to play.
How to Play Divide and Conquer
- Read the factory challenge: dividend is the total, divisor is how many equal groups or robots.
- Drag or tap objects onto containers, or use keyboard selection and number keys.
- Use Round-robin, Grouping Gate, and other machines when you need help distributing.
- For remainder tickets, fill equal groups then place leftovers in the remainder chute.
- Press Check Distribution to validate, earn combo efficiency, and advance through factory zones.
- Choose Quick (10), Standard (20), or Marathon (35) shifts before you start.
Learning goals
- Model division as equal sharing among containers.
- Model division as making equal groups of a given size.
- Find quotients and remainders with exact integer checks.
- Connect multiplication and division fact families.
About this game
Divide and Conquer is a friendly sorting-factory puzzle. Objects arrive on conveyors at The Equalizer Factory. Share them equally among robots, build equal groups, sort remainders, and solve missing-number machine tickets. Easy shifts focus on equal sharing. Medium adds remainders and reverse facts. Hard includes bundles, limited-move puzzles, and multi-stage factory runs. Conquer division challenges—not opponents.
Controls: keyboard-touch. Scores are verified before appearing on the public leaderboard. Read how scoring works.

Scoring tips
- Distribute evenly before you check.
- Use round-robin placement to keep groups balanced.
- Check each container count before Check Distribution.
- Use Undo instead of clearing the whole board after a small mistake.
- Save educational power-ups for tougher tickets.
- Verify remainders are smaller than the divisor.
- Aim for fewer moves on efficiency challenges.
Difficulty guide
- Easy uses dividends 4–30, divisors 2–5, visible objects, and no remainders at first.
- Medium adds dividends through 72, remainders, quotient entry, and missing-number tickets.
- Hard includes dividends up to 144, bundles, limited-move puzzles, reverse division, and multi-stage factory runs.
Parent and teacher notes
Divide and Conquer uses visual equal-sharing and equal-grouping models for practice and entertainment. Difficulty, shift length, and practice focus are adjustable. Score submission is optional and no account is required. The game is not a formal assessment and does not guarantee classroom outcomes.
